This phone can come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. This is the same processor that was in Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, and is quite powerful. From daily use to gaming, it will work comfortably, but is a bit behind the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite. Vivo X Fold 3 had Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, so this is a good upgrade.
According to leaks, the Vivo X Fold 4 is going to be super thin and ‘ultra-light’. The Vivo X Fold 3 was 4.65mm thin in unfolded form and weighed 219 grams, so we can expect a lightweight foldable this time as well. Also, it might have IPX8 water resistance, which is a big upgrade over the X Fold 3’s IPX4. Meaning no need to fear a little rain or splashes!
Vivo’s camera game has always been strong, and the X Fold 4 is said to feature a 50MP periscope telephoto camera. This will be perfect for zoom shots, and not much is known about the rest of the lenses, but according to Vivo, it will get a good setup.
This phone is going to rock in terms of battery! Leaks say that it will have a battery of around 6,000mAh, which is more than the 5,500mAh of the X Fold 3 and the 5,700mAh of the X Fold 3 Pro. It will also get support for wireless charging. The X Fold 3 only had wired 80W charging, so this is a big plus point.
Security and extras
It may have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, which is fast and reliable. With a foldable design, this is a smart choice. And yes, this phone may launch with Android 15, with Vivo’s custom Funtouch OS.
Expected price
The Vivo X Fold 3 started at CNY 6,999 (roughly Rs. 80,000) in China, and the X Fold 3 Pro started at CNY 9,999 (roughly Rs. 1,16,000). The X Fold 4 could also be priced in the same range, but could be slightly higher with wireless charging and a bigger battery. If it is launched in India, its price can start from around Rs 1,00,000.
